Why a Haunted Scream Park?

When you go to most haunted houses, they are located inside an old warehouse or similar structure. From the outside, they all look the same. Unfortunately, once you get inside most are similar too. That's where we differ from them. When you think of Hallowed Grounds, think of it as haunted house meets theme park. That's why we call it a Haunted Scream Park. We don't measure our haunted attraction in square feet like the other haunts. We measure it in ACRES! We don't measure the distance it takes you to walk through our attraction in feet, me measure it in tenths of a mile!

Why spend your hard-earned money to tour the same old scenes, with the same old scares, when it is only going to take 5 or 10 minutes, leaving you disappointed? Come to Hallowed Grounds and walk our half mile haunted trail through the woods. We've all seen the indoor haunts try to pull off a cemetery scene. They do it with a few square feet and a handful of tombstones. Our cemetery scene is over 3 acres, with over 150 tombstones, and life-size mausoleums!

As you tour Hallowed Grounds and meander through the woods, you will cross the creek on foot bridges, and take part in an interactive experience like no other. Oh, and by the way, our price is the lowest of any haunted attraction that we are aware of.

What Makes Us Different?

Hallowed Grounds is different than any other haunted attraction in Missouri. The goal of haunted houses is to "transport" you to another place or time while providing a scare. Haunted houses spend thousands upon thousands of dollars every year to design sets, paint, and decorate to make an environment look as real as possible, so that while you walk through, you feel as if you are there in that time or place. At Hallowed Grounds, we take a different approach. We feel that the only way to truly get someone to lose their sense of security is to put them in the actual environment which scares them. That's why, instead of propping up a bunch of fake trees inside an old warehouse, we put you in the actual woods on our huge haunted trail. You'll be clinging to the person next to you, wondering what lies around the next bend.
